We are pleased to announce that Dr Stephanie Bloomer, a specialist in radioactive waste disposal and environmental radiation protection and member of our Decommissioning and Radioactive Waste Management team, has recently achieved accreditation as a Radioactive Waste Advisor (RWA), one of only 122 in the UK. There is a requirement under European law for those who keep or use radioactive material, or who accumulate or dispose of radioactive waste, to appoint advisers, known as ‘radiation protection experts’ to provide advice on radiological protection.
