Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time, 37-hour week
Role and Responsibilities
The Contract Manager will provide necessary post contract management support to assigned major project(s) ensuring that Orano Ltd contracts are administered appropriately in line with its contractual obligations and Group procedures. The Contract Manager will be assigned to at least one major contract, working directly with the Orano Lead Project Manager (PM), with flexibility required as needed to provide support to more than one contract subject to size, and potentially including contract management of smaller projects.
Working closely with the Orano lead PM to ensure technical specification and contract requirements are adhered to.
Providing guidance on contract matters during delivery phase to Lead PM and operations.
Leading in all pre-contract contract administration activities including support to the PM in complying with all NEC contract term requirements including:
- Lead in all contractual communications between Orano ltd and the Client, attending all related meetings as required;
- Monitoring performance against contract requirement including contractual cost and management all variations, claim related activities, rate adjustments;
- Working with the Contract cost engineer and project controls as appropriate for management of financial aspects of the Contract;
- Working with OL Supply Chain and Procurement to prepare negotiate suitable subcontracts to meet head contract/client requirements and secure supplier capabilities and commitments and leading contract discussions with suppliers;
- Monitoring of supply chain performance working with OL Supply Chain and Procurement lead;
- Support to KPIs including performance of key suppliers;
- Attend and/or lead Client facing contract meetings as required;
- Attend in-house project reviews and report/update on contract matters.
Preferred Role Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of NEC contract hands on experience (NEC 3/4 PSC and ECC).
- 2-5 years experience in contract management within major projects, preferably with exposure to the nuclear or engineering sectors.
